Hello Everybody:

The Bible teaches that when a person enters a saving relationship with Jesus Christ – God’s Son – he or she is adopted into the family of God (Ephesians 1:3-7), that you actually become a part of God’s household (Ephesians 2:19). The Bible is clear that the person who is born again through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8, 9) is given a heartfelt love for the brethren [the family of God – the church] (1John 3:14) and therefore has a desire to be with them, serve them, love them, and care for them. At Fairview we express it this way, “The Christian has been created for community and formed for family.”
 
And that is what we are about at Fairview – the family of God – worshipping the King – Jesus – together, studying His Word together, walking together, supporting each other, loving and caring for each other, and reaching out to a dying world together. Fairview is a Safe House: a place where people can bring their hurts, their hang-ups, and their habits, and experience the love of the Father. We are on mission to help people meet the Savior and experience His blessings as their Lord. Fairview is “The church on the hill with a heart for … Touching Lives – and Changing Destinies!

Rodger Duncan - Associate Pastor, Minister of Students

Rodger came to Fairview Baptist Church in January 2009 as our Associate Pastor/Minister of Students.

Prior to this he served in youth ministry as a bi-vocational youth minister in the state, and with Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children at Boys RanchTown in Edmond, OK.

Rodger is married to Peggy Duncan and they have one son, Jonathan Kennedy who is  attending the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Ok.

Rodger's passion it to lead students to have an active daily relationship with the one true God through His Son Jesus Christ. And also to live a life of purity and holiness which cannot be done by ourselves but only by daily yielding our lives to Christ!

His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight"

 

Andy Hanson - Associate Pastor, Minister of Music

 Andy came to Fairview Baptist Church in March of 2009 as our Associate Pastor/Minister of Worship.

He is married to Lindy Hanson and have six children, four of them currently living at home; Marissa, Micah, Allison and Isaiah. Their oldest daughter, Kristel, is married to a fine Christian man, Brian, and they have a beautiful girl named Kylie. They live in Hallsville, Tx. Their oldest son, Tim, is married to a fine Christian girl, Kara and they live in Fort Rucker, Al..

Prior to coming to Fairview, Andy served at Rose Hill Baptist Church as Student Minister for three years. Before that, He was an Associate Pastor/Worship Leader/Student Minister at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church in Hallsville, Tx. for four and a half years.

Andy's heart is to worship God each day of the week through song, scripture reading and conversing with the Father. As our Worship leader, he has the opportunity to allow that to over flow into the worship services here at Fairview. God uses the music part of the service to maneuver our hearts into a position so we are a moldable work of art for His kingdom as we hear His truth from our Pastor.
